AMAZON AND MSME's IN GUJARAT

The recent news regarding Amazon is that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the industries and mines department of the government of GUJARAT. It is to help boost the MSMEs in Gujarat wherein Amazon will teach and train the onboard MSME’s and this will provide the local producers to sell their unique products on a global platform.

Abhijit Kamra, the director of global trade in Amazon India, said the Amazon Global Selling program has already enabled more than 70,000 Indian exporters to cross $3 billion in cumulative exports, showcasing millions of Made in India products to customers across the world.

Amazon will conduct webinars, lectures and provide training to local producers to help them in their businesses. In addition to helping Amazon, it will also help local producers get recognition and fair prices for their products, which will be a great step for them.
